Welcome to Foothill High School Science Department
Requirements for high school graduation:
Two years of Science comprising:
- One year of Biological Science with a grade of D or better in all semesters.
- One year of Physical Science with a grade of D or better in all semesters
- Biological Science and Physical Science courses provide students with graduation credits but are not UC approved Lab Science courses
Requirements for four Year Colleges and Universities:
- Two years of science with a grade of C or better in all semesters
- Competitive students for UC admission will usually have three years of lab sciences. Many other colleges require or recommend three or more years of science
- Foothill High School provides the following courses in Biological Sciences:
- Biology
- AP Biology
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Zoology
- Foothill High School provides the following courses in Physical Sciences:
- Chemistry
- AP Chemistry
- Conceptual Physics
- Physics
- AP Physics
- AP Environmental Science is also offered and is both a Physical Science and a Life Science
