Message to Students and Families During School Dismissal

We understand that this is a very difficult time for students, parents, staff, and our families. Your Foothill Counselors are currently working with administration on a plan to support your student during school dismissal due to COVID-19. As soon as we have more information, updates will be sent out via email, here on Talon Talk, and can be found on our website, so please be on the lookout for those.

Please check out the COVID- 19 Resource Doc for available resources and technology questions.

During the school dismissal, if your student would like to connect with their counselor, we will be available virtually during regular school hours Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:35 am - 2:58 pm and Tuesday, Thursday 8:00 am - 2:58 pm. Students can reach out to their counselor with questions via email or can request a virtual appointment through Google Hangouts, using their PUSD student email.

In the meantime, counselors will stay busy monitoring student academic progress, coordinating course selection changes for the 2020-2021 school year, and will be focused next week on summer school recommendations and Junior Status letters. All Juniors will receive an email soon regarding our alternate plans since we are not able to hold Junior meetings at this time. Please encourage your student to continue to regularly check their PUSD emails, as things are rapidly changing and we promise to continue to support your student as best we can through this virtual reality.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact the Pleasanton Police Department at (925) 931-5100, or call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
