As counselors, we understand that high school can be a challenging time for students on many levels. Common concerns for which students regularly seek our assistance include:

Open Lab Support for 2019-2020 Q Registration - Feb 13th

What: Open lab for families who need assistance with High School course selection and Q registration. Assistance/translation available in Mandarin, Spanish and Korean.
Where: Abbie Lab, 4750 First Streetat the Pleasanton Unified School District offices.
When: February 13th, 6 pm - 8 pm.
No appointment needed. Please bring any information that the student has obtained from their school/counselor. Liaisons will help with using Q Connection but are not able to answer complex schedule planning questions, those should be answered by high school counselors.

Scheduling Registration Information for 2019-2020 School Year

Online scheduling registration on Q Connection is open between Friday, February 1st to Friday, February 15th.  For additional scheduling resources or to request 7-Period Day on Google request form, check-out the "SCHEDULING INFORMATION" tab to the right of this page.  Current FHS students can also ask counselors questions during drop-ins at lunch or by signing up for Scheduling Workshops on Feb 5th, 7th, 12th, and 14th.

LPC Spring Disability Resource Center Open House - March 5th

Las Positas College is having an Open House event for their Disability Resource Center on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM in the Student Services & Administration Building 1600 (Room 1620) in the cafeteria. Attendees will learn about the services and accommodations that are offered for eligible students with disabilities, what steps and documentation are required to be part of the Disability Resource Center, and about the differences between high school IEPs/504s and a community college Academic Accommodation Plan (AAP). Following the presentation, DRC staff and counselors will be available to answer specific follow up questions, to give center tours, and to demo some of the alternative media technology resources that students are able to use.

Missed FHS Financial Aid Night?  Resources still available!

The presentation for FHS's November 8th FAFSA and Financial Aid night is available for download below.  The FAFSA is currently open.  Apply early to take advantage of more opportunities for financial aid.
