Preseason Interest List Sign Up
If you are interested in playing FHS softball this season, please sign up on our preseason interest list, so that we can contact you via email with information about open field practices, etc.. Sign up here:
Open Field Practices
Starting in November, players will have an opportunity to attend open field practices in advance of tryouts, weather and field conditions permitting. These open field practices are informal and are led by senior varsity players. All interested players are encouraged to attend and to meet other players and the coaches.
Tue. Nov. 15: Player meeting 3:30pm at varsity softball field
Thu. Nov. 17: 3:45 - dark
Tue. Nov. 29 and Thu. Dec. 1
Tue. Dec. 6 and Thu. Dec. 8
Tue. Dec. 13 and Thu. Dec. 15
Starting January 10, open fields will be on Tue., Wed. and Thu. until tryout start.
Tryouts
Tryouts will begin the week of Feb. 6.
Parent Carpool Drivers
The paper Volunteer Clearance Form has been replaced with this online Volunteer Clearance Form. The online form should be used by all potential volunteers. It does not need to printed, you can fill it out and submit it online.
The Transportation Form is required of parent, guardians, staff and coaches before they can transport students to school related activities using a privately owned vehicle. This completed form needs to be turned it at the Facilities Desk in the Foothill Main Office.
Student Drivers
Students who wish to drive themselves to practices/games should email a completed Student Transportation form (see attachment below) along with a copy of their insurance policy to Elizabeth Colon (clearance coordinator) at [email protected]. Please note it is advised that students driving themselves to school sporting events carry the same amount of insurance as parent carpool drivers.
Voluntary Donation
The Foothill High School athletic programs are largely supported by voluntary donations by parents. Your donation covers program costs for equipment, umpire fees and coach stipends. The donation is tax deductible. This year's suggested softball donation is $450.
How to Donate
Checks should be made payable to Foothill High School. Please note in the memo that the funds should be directed to the girls softball program. You can turn the checks in to the main office or to the coaches. To pay via credit card, you can login to your AthleticClearance.com account. Select the "shop" tab and choose Softball.
Corporate Matching
Please consider requesting a company matching donation. The Foothill Athletic Boosters Tax ID is 94-2418064. Please indicate that the funds should go to the softball program.
Athletic Clearance
In order to be cleared for participation in Foothill softball, a sports clearance packet must be completed, including a player physical, before an athlete can be involved in any athletic activity, including tryouts and practice.
