Student Wins Cello Award

Congratulations to Curtis Kim for winning the first-place Renee Smith Award in the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council's YEA! awards for music. YEA stands for Youth Excellence in Arts.
Curtis has played the cello for eight years. He is the principal cellist in Foothill's strings orchestra and in the private California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. He will perform at the world famous Carnegie Hall in New York this summer.
