Foothill's five-member robotics team made it to the quarter finals at the VEX Robotics Competition World Championships in Dallas on May 1-2.
The team includes Abishek Akella, Abheek Chanana, Wenson Hsieh, Timothy Lee and Varun Sharma.
The students worked after school for seven months to develop the battery-powered robot for the competition. Concord High School is the only other East Bay high school that advanced to the world competition.
