Congratulations to senior Adrian Wong for being named Foothill’s October Student of the Month.
“Adrian is an amazing artist,” art teacher Caroline Fields said. “He is also an outstanding academic student.”
Adrian is quick to tell people that his future is all about art. His incredible talent allows him to paint a picture that makes it clear he’s a gifted artist.
While Adrian is devoted to art, academics are just as important to him. He’s enrolled in four AP classes, along with anatomy and physiology. He maintains a 4.05 grade point average and got an Excellence Award for his outstanding performance on California Standard Tests in 2006 and 2007.
Away from school, Adrian excels in tae kwon do and plays the guitar and bass. He has donated his time to raise money for various groups, including Invisible Children’s School for Schools.
Adrian took first place in Flower Heritage’s “Don’t Turn Your Back on AIDS” art contest and the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council’s Youth Excellence in Art competition. He designed a logo for Foothill’s student store and is currently designing the T-shirt design for Foothill’s Teens Reaching Out club.
Students of the Month are nominated & chosen by Foothill staff. The program is
sponsored by the Rotary Club of Pleasanton North.
