Safe Rides: Get Home Safely

Prom and graduation season are in full swing, which means some students could find themselves at risk for being caught in an unsafe situation if they're intoxicated or with friends who are in no shape to drive.
Safe Rides does not condone underage drinking or drug use, but the people behind this program realize that our kids are sometimes put in situations where their lives are at risk.
The Safe Ride crew of teens and adults offers free, safe and confidential rides home on Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Rides are offered to teens who are in no condition to drive or teens faced with the choise of riding with an impaired driver. The crew is trained to handle all situations.
Volunteer: Join the Crew
Safe Rides needs teen and young adults, ages 15 to 21, and adults ages 25 and older to work on the crew. Crew members work Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. All crew members have adult supervision.
If you or your teen would like to join the crew, please e-mail
The Safe Rides program was developed by Boy Scouts of America. It is sponsored locally by ValleyCare Health System.
