DECA Students Win International Title

Foothill freshmen Max Wang and Megha Jain ranked in the top 10 international winners in the advertising campaign competition with DECA, an association of marketing students.

Max and Megha were among 12 lucky Foothill students who traveled to Atlanta in late April for DECA's International Career Development Conference. Nearly 14,000 students from all around the world competed in 36 different event and categories. Competitors had to qualify at state conferences before they could advance to the international level.

Special thanks to local business owner, Dennis Barnedt, of Access Information Management, for his financial support of DECA this year. Foothill's students were able to take part in the Atlanta conference with minimal out-of-pocket expense, thanks to Mr. Barnedt's generosity.
