Jason Krolikowski, Foothill High School Principal
Former Student Arrested at Foothill High School
At about 12:45 PM today, a female student at Foothill High School reported to the office that an adult male had confronted her in the student parking lot, grabbed her buttocks and tore her shorts. The on-duty School Resource Officer, additional Pleasanton Police Department patrol units and school staff responded to the student parking lot but the suspect had already fled. Further investigation identified the suspect as 20 year-old Dong-Hoo Lee of Pleasanton, a former Foothill High School student.
At about 3:15 this afternoon, Lee returned to the school and was located near the student parking lot by the School Resource Officer. He initially provided a false name, but was eventually arrested without incident. A search of Lee, incident to his arrest, revealed he had a knife on his person; however there is no indication that he attempted to use the weapon against the female during the earlier battery. Lee was arrested for sexual battery, possession of a knife on campus, and providing false information to a police officer. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
The female student was not injured during this incident. Pleasanton Police detectives will continue to follow up on this investigation, to include attempting to determine the suspect’s exact motive for confronting the student. At this time, it does not appear that any other students were targeted or endangered during this incident.
A photograph of the suspect is not available at this time.
