Experience the most hilarious spelling bee in history when Foothill's drama department presents The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for this year's fall play.
The farcical one-act musical comedy features a spelling bee set at the fictional Putnam Valley Middle School. Six comically quirky adolescents compete in the bee, which is run by three equally quirky adults.
The musical comedy will be performed Thursday, Dec. 10 through Saturday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room. Admission is $5 at the door.
The cast features the acting and musical talents of Rachel Probst, Isabel Fernades, Amy Semmelmayer, Bryn Doyle, Erin Thrush, Will Mattingly, Zac Richey, Danny Hanna, Luke Valentine, Naomi French, Avani Klinder, Meena Alexander, Maya Balachandran and Sahna Das. The play is directed by teacher Dax Treible with special help from choir teacher Brooke Steele.
The musical comedy is conceived by Rebecca Feldman with book by Rachel Sheinkin and music/lyrics by William Finn.
