DI Team Wins at Globals

Congratulations to the three Foothill students on the six-person Destination Imagination team that recently won third-place honors at Destination Imagination's global finals May 20-23 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Foothill freshmen Vishnu Arul, Katie Abhyankar and Rohith Rajasekaran joined with three Amador Valley High School students to create the Stop Drop Go team to compete in Destination Imagination's community service challenge.
The students were tasked with finding a creative way to identify, design and carry out a project that addresses a community need. The team members created the stopdropgo.org website to collect much-needed items to donate to local charities. They collected 678 cans of food for Valley Bible Church's food pantry, 250 books for an East Bay children's book project, 400 Easter eggs for the Hidden Treasures egg hunt and more than $520 for the Valley Humane Society.
The Stop Drop Go team placed third out of 59 teams that competed in the community service challenge.
Way to go, Falcons!
