Taekwon-Do Champs

Two Foothill students won medals at this summer's Taekwon-Do ITF World Championships in Rome.

Junior David Jue won a gold medal and sophomore Shawn Kim took home two bronze medals. She also won silver medals for sparring and power breaking and gold for specialty breaking. Catherine Jue, a 2011 Foothill graduate, remains undefeated at the world competition since 2007.

Rashika Sunku, sophomore; Nathan Daniel, freshman; and Gaurav Gulati, junior, qualified for the USA team, but did not win medals. The students train at Jue's Taekwon-Do in downtown Pleasanton.

Congratulations to Foothill's outstanding taekwon-do experts.
