DECA Students Win Big

Congratulations to Foothill's outstanding DECA students for winning the organization's highest honors at DECA's 68th annual International Career Development Conference held recently in Atlanta, Georgia.

Roland Huang, Shivi Bhatnagar and Andrew Nam won first place overall for their sports and entertainment operations research project.

Charles Jin and Christine Oh were overall finalists (in the top 10) for their public relations campaign event.

In addition, Byron Lo won a $1,000 leadership scholarship, Crystal Tang ranked in the top 10 in role play and Luka Qin ranked in the top 10 for industry cluster exam.

Foothill had 21 DECA students at the international competition with adviser Tami Raaker.

DECA is an international student marketing association that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. It promotes understanding and appreciation of the free-enterprise system, as well as the responsibilities of citizenship.
