The students spent weekends from January to May and then six days a week beginning in June, 12 hours per day to prepare for the championships. They left on a three-week tour in July, where they competed in several competitions, ultimately arriving in Indiana to competed against several other corps.

The corps had a near-perfect season, winning all but two competitions during the year. Their show was titled Ecstatic Waters.
