The school booster group, which supports all students and teachers at Foothill, focused this year's funding efforts on upgrading technology. Items purchased are:
- Laptop computers
- Laser printers
- 10 ELMO document cameras for world language, social sciences and English departments
- Two TurningPoint response systems that will be kept in the library for all teachers to check out. The systems are used to encourage interactive class participation by delivering immediate, interactive responses to presentations by students and teachers.
The booster group has worked with the school to develop a technology committee with the goal of creating a long-term, planned spending plan for upgrading Foothill's technology. The committee includes booster group leaders, a teacher from each department and Vice Principal Lori Vella.
The committee came up with a plan to allocate funds to computer labs and classrooms based on a six-year cycle. Please click on the link below to view the long-term technology funding plan.
Thank you to the many generous Foothill families who support the school booster group through membership dues and donations.
