Foothill Band Takes Top Honors

Foothill's award-winning marching band and color guard have even more trophies to brag about after raking in several top honors at the Northern California Band Association's Tournament of Champions final competition held Nov. 19 in Fairfield.

The crowning achievement for the day's performances was when Foothill was awarded the top award -- Grand Sweepstakes.

Foothill won all of these outstanding awards at both the parade and field shows:
Parade -- 3rd place, division AA
Parade Color Guard -- 2nd place, division AA
Percussion -- 5th place overall
Jazz Band A -- 1st place, division A
Wind Ensemble -- 2nd place, division A
Field Show -- 1st place, division 5A
Field Show Color Guard -- 2nd place overall
Field Percussion -- 2nd place overall
Field Brass -- 3rd place overall
Field Woodwinds -- 2nd place overall
