Homecoming Court

Congratulations to the eight young men and women who were chosen by their peers to be the royalty in the 2011 homecoming court.

Homecoming king and queen are seniors John Reed and Marisa Victor. The princes and princesses for the other grades are:
  • Juniors -- Glen Chou and Allison Wong
  • Sophomores -- Bryce Hwang and Diane Hadley
  • Freshmen -- James Angst and Katie Jefferies
Selection of this year's homecoming royalty started a full week before the Oct. 14 homecoming game against Livermore's Granada High School. Students submitted ballots during their third-period classes. Everyone at school was eligible to be nominated.

Hundreds of nominations were counted by hand to come up with the top five nominees, male and female, for each grade level. Students then cast electronic ballots to choose the final honorees.

The freshman, sophomore and junior royalty were announced at the rally held during the school day on Friday, the day of the big game. The top three senior couples were announced at the rally, but the king and queen were not announced until halftime during the big game.

The Falcons had an incredible game against Granada, absolutely crushing the Matadors with a score of 35 to 0.

Congratulations to the 2011 homecoming court students.
