Art Students Unveil Bus Stop Mural

A bus stop mural created entirely by Foothill art students was formally unveiled to the community in a ceremony on May 19.

The bus stop mural, which took a full year to plan and complete, depicts transportation in a colorful and whimsical format. The mural is on the bust stop on Old Bernal Avenue, bordering the city library parking lot.

The main designers, organizers and painters of this project are students Angie Son, James Kim and Chris Gomez. Contributors to designing and painting are Nari Kim, Caroline Kim and Shay Narzekalski.

Other Foothill artists who helped with this project are Stephanie Lowe, Alicia Jun, Amanda Frank, Will Lowenhardt, Chaitali Wagh, Eric Kim, Mina Shin, Dana Kim, Stephanie Wu, Paayal Zaveri, Jessica Huang and Pinhwa Su.

Art Students Win Awards
In other art news, students Nari Kim and Caroline Kim took the first- and second-place honors in the Pleasanton Cultural Art Council's Youth Excellence in Arts awards.

Nari won first place and $500, while Caroline took second place and $300 in the visual arts portion of the awards.

Congratulations to Foothill's art students for their outstanding achievements!
