Students Awarded PPIE Grants

Foothill students Connie Wu, Lauren Traurig and Rachel Usedom have been awarded  grants through the Pleasanton Partnerships in Education's twice annual student grant program.

Students must submit proposals for grants to support school-related projects and programs. PPIE awards two cycles of student grants each school year.

Connie Wu was awarded a $300 grant to provide seed money for the new literary magazine The Beacon. The magazine will feature student-created literary and art works.

Students Lauren Traurig and Rachel Usedom were awarded a $500 grant to support Every 15 Minutes, a program presented every other year to warn juniors and seniors of the dangers of drinking and driving.
