Utlimate Frisbee Players Wanted

Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting sport that challenges your coordination, defies you to leap to new heights, dares you to run at top speeds and generally pushes your body to the limits.

This fast-paced sport combines the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football. The game is played by two seven-player squads with a high-tech plastic disc on a field similar to football. The object of the game is to score by catching a pass in the opponent’s end zone. A player must stop running while in possession of the disc, but may pivot and pass to any of the other receivers on the field.

If you're interested in being part of this exciting game and club, you're invited to meet in teacher Allen Thoe's room, D-30, every Tuesday during lunch.

Practices are held on the Ultimate Frisbee course at Las Positas College on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pick-up games will be held every Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Pleasanton Sports Park.

Foothill's Ultimate team will compete in tournaments in the winter and spring, always on weekends. There's a chance that Foothill will host the California State Championships in late April or early May.
