We recognize that understanding college requirements can be confusing. Below, we have provided links with information about requirements for each college system:

University of California: www.ucop.edu/doorways (enter FHS code 052497). This is our UC-approved course list, which shows UC requirements and which FHS courses fit UC requirements each year. In addition, the UC system uses test scores and comprehensive review to determine admission decisions. More information is available at www.universityofcalifornia.edu.

California State University: Requirements listed at www.csumentor.edu. CSU campuses also require the "a-g" requirements that the UC system uses, posted at www.ucop.edu/doorways. However, CSU does not use comprehensive review, and admits on the basis of GPA and test scores alone (except Cal Poly SLO, which asks a few questions about extracurricular).

Private Colleges: See each college's website for recommendations on coursework and average admission statistics. These vary widely, depending on the college.
