Community College Concurrent Enrollment is a possibility for students who want to: explore courses that are not offered at Foothill High School, make up courses in which students received a D or an F at FHS, and/or want to complete a high school graduation or college requirement. FHS does not weight community college courses on the high school transcript.
Beginning Fall 2010, FHS will only be placing the following community college courses on our high school transcript: 1) courses which meet our high school graduation requirements 2) required A-G courses courses 3) courses used to meet the 6 period day requirement
See each community college website for high school student enrollment forms and course availability for the term in which you are applying. We advise applying to several community colleges for the same subject, since high school students often receive the last priority in registering for college classes. There are many more community college courses that FHS students can take—these are just a few that are equivalent to our courses. Additional courses that students wish to take can be submitted to the counselor and if needed, the counselor will consult the department chair and vice principal regarding approval.
