We had a wonderfully successful Alumni Career Day at Foothill High School on February 20, 2009. Check out the pictures in the Photo Album link on the right Foothill graduates from all over the state, and even some from out of state, came to campus to introduce current students to a variety of careers and encourage them to strive toward a successful future. The alumni presenters focused on the rewards, education requirements and life experiences associated with a broad spectrum of careers with the hope of enlightening students. Alumni careers featured included software engineer, law enforcement, firefighter, teacher, business, entrepreneur, venture capitalist, lawyer, web designer, stand-up comedian, aerospace engineer, sales executive, database programmer and more. Foothill alumni enjoyed a luncheon prepared by the school's catering class before alumni made their presentations during fifth and sixth periods. It was also a time for alumni to catch up with old friends and reconnect with special teachers and staff. Alumni Career Day is an annual event when former Foothill students are invited back on campus. The day starts with a luncheon where our guests reconnect with other former Foothill students, as well as their former teachers. The luncheon is sponsored by the AABC -- Activities and Academics Booster Club. Foothill's catering class prepares a delicious assortment of foods. Each alumni presenter then visits a classroom to discuss his/her career with current Foothill students. We are always seeking Foothill alumni who would like to come back to Foothill, reconnect with old friends and teachers and share their experiences with today’s Foothill students.
