Details have finally been worked out for next year's school calendar

All the details have finally been worked out for next year's school calendar, so you can start planning your family vacations and weekend getaways.

The 2010-11 school year starts on Wednesday, August 25 and ends on Friday, June 10.

The calendar includes two teacher furlough days when students do not attend school. One more furlough day when students do not attend school is yet to be determined. The teachers union agreed to three non-paid furlough days to help offset budget shortfalls. Two other non-paid furlough days fall on teacher work days when students do not attend school.
